Wheelopedia — A Platform Built for Every Wheel, Every Life
By Axcilence — Wheelopedia
Project overview
Wheelopedia helps users find the right wheelchair with confidence, but the original experience felt confusing and hard to navigate. Axcilence redesigned the platform to make the journey clear, structured, and easy to follow.
We simplified content, improved navigation, and created an intuitive interface that guides users step by step. The result is a clean, user-friendly experience that builds trust and helps people make confident decisions.

Project Intro
Wheelopedia is India’s one-stop destination for wheelchair and mobility solutions founded in 2020 with a mission to make the right wheelchair accessible to every family that needs one.
When they came to Axcilence, they had a strong product line and a genuine need in the market. What they lacked was a digital presence that could do it justice.
200%
conversion rate improvement within 3 months
80%
Increased online sales within just few months.
Challenge
Wheelopedia’s audience patients, caregivers, and families making high-stakes purchasing decisions needed more than a product catalogue. They needed trust, clarity, and confidence.
The existing site didn’t speak to their emotional journey, buried key features like free home demos, and offered no intuitive path from awareness to purchase. Selecting the wrong wheelchair isn’t just inconvenient — it directly affects quality of life. The site had to earn that trust, fast.
Solution
We opened with deep user research — surveying 100+ respondents across the Indian market to understand buying behaviour, pain points, and unmet needs. From there, we built a complete UX architecture: user journey maps, personas, wireframes, and a style guide grounded in warmth and clarity.
The final UI led with trust signals (free home demos, direct contact, easy search), featured a chatbot for guidance, and structured the homepage around conversion — category selection, best-sellers, and a prominent FAQ — all built for mobile-first use.
Outcome
A fully redesigned platform that meets users where they are — whether they’re exploring options for the first time or ready to book a home demo. The new site transforms a complex, emotional purchase into a clear, confident journey. Wheelopedia now has a digital foundation that reflects the quality of its products and the trust its customers place in it.
Feedback
“My experience with you has been exceptional from start to finish — truly professional and far beyond anything I expected. From the very first day we started on the website all the way to completing the sales page, you made everything feel clear, organized, and intentional. You didn’t just build pages; you brought my vision to life. You took the ideas in my head and translated them into a brand that looks polished, cohesive, and powerful. You went above and beyond what I ever imagined my brand could look like and truly elevated it into a million-dollar brand in both feel and presentation. I’m extremely grateful for the care, communication, and excellence you put into every detail.”

What does a website design and development project with Axcilence include?
Every project starts with discovery — understanding your users, your goals, and what’s currently not working. From there we handle everything: UX research, wireframes, UI design, a full design system, prototype testing, and final development. You get a site that’s built to perform, not just to look good.
How long does a project like this take?
Most website design and development engagements run 4–8 weeks depending on scope and complexity. We work in structured phases — Discover, Design, Prototype, and Launch — with check-ins at every stage so nothing surprises you at the end.
Do you work with e-commerce or product-heavy platforms?
Yes — this is a core strength. We’ve designed and built platforms where the buying journey requires trust-building, clear categorisation, and strong CTAs. Whether it’s a product catalogue, booking flow, or chatbot integration, we design for conversion from the first click.
What if I already have a website — can Axcilence redesign it?
Absolutely. We regularly work with businesses that have an existing site that isn’t performing. We audit what’s there, identify what’s costing you conversions, and rebuild from a strategy-first foundation — no wasted motion.
Will the new site be optimised for mobile and search?
Always. Every site we build is mobile-first by design and structured for SEO from the ground up — clean code, fast load times, proper heading hierarchy, and metadata that works for search engines and social sharing.
